Vienna

We arrive at our hostel in the afternoon and meet in the bar before going out for a group meal, followed by more drinking in a local bar. The food is good but the owner is rushed off her feet serving such a big group. The evening turns out to be a very late one and finishes in the small hours. When the alarm goes off the following morning it's turned off, we fall back to sleep and eventually we surface just before mid day. As we've missed breakfast, we find a small shop with a coffee vending machine and sit nursing our hot beverages (and our heads) for some time. We must look a sight as the lady in the shop wanders over and offers us a chocolate each. (Actually our poor appearance is confirmed by Barry, who says Helen looks fine (what a gentleman), but David looks a mess (in one of the photos David is holding a bottle of water with 'Wake Up' written on it).
As we wander around the streets of Vienna, we soon realise that to do it justice we'll have to come back on a return trip. We do however manage to take in some of the sights and by late afternoon we are starting to feel somewhat better. The photographs become somewhat random, but it seems to match our state of mind.
That said, it was a quieter night for the both of us before we set off for the Hungarian border.

Some random pictures on a day after a very big night out
